Profile
I have enjoyed caring for people with various disabilities since I was very young. I had a sister that was deaf and I did a lot of interpreting for her. I got a job in a Nursing home in 2001. I was not happy with that atmosphere. I went to work taking care of a man in his home and that is where I was introduced to Hospice care during that time. I decided that was what I wanted to do so in 2004 I was able to get my certification. I started caring for my Grandmother in 2013 with Alzheimer's disease & my mother with C.O.P.D.in 2 different cities. It was & is extremely difficult taking care of my Grandmother. I don't know if I still have my CNA license or not. I tried calling the nurses registry to keep my license valid, but I kept getting a recording rerouting me somewhere else & never did get through to them. I'm not as young as I was,but I still care about people & am capable of bathing, grooming, toileting, taking to various appts and grocery shopping, light house keeping etc. Medication reminders & companionship.
