Profile

I am a kind, caring, active gentleman who has been involved in 3 life-threatening vehicle accidents, and my recovery from serious injuries has helped to build my compassionate heart. In 1987 I was in a head-on collision with combined wreckage of 110MPH. I only got cut up and my wounds stitched closed, but my stepmother broke most of the bones in her body, required numerous operations and much recovery. My sister suffered Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI), was in a coma for 9 months and still needs constant care. In 1989 I was hit by a car traveling at 40MPH and broke my left arm, left leg in two places, my jaw on both sides, my pelvis and my scapula. I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 1998. In 1999 I crashed my motorcycle and suffered TBI myself, coma 10 days. I recovered and have learned to empathize with anyone suffering from ailments caused by injury or from age.

Related Interests & Hobbies

I have studied pottery, metal working, jewelry making and other arts and crafts projects for many years, and would be honored by the opportunity to share these activities with another. As mentioned earlier, I have hiked the Appalachian Trail in 1998, so of course I still love to spend time outdoors, walking in the woods or on flat ground with anyone willing and able to join me. I love to read and also to play Scrabble and many other card and board games.

Other Information

Since children, animals and the elderly have always responded to me, I feel strongly guided to pursue any opportunity to serve and care for those who would benefit from my company and compassion.
