I have worked with the elderly and children since I was maybe 13 years old and I have always enjoy it wanted to do more then what I was able to do at the time. I had started seating with an elderly while I was in middle school caring for my grandfather while he was wheel chair bound. I couldn't do much since I was only a little girl. I had decided at the age of 17 I love working with people and I love serving in any way or shape or form that I am able to do so. in 1998 I had finally decide to step out on encouragement and obtain my license at a nursing home in Tacoma Washington while the classes were given freely so I had. I had finished in April of 1998 with my nursing completion. I after I had finished classes I had taken on so many shifts on and had started to do many rounds because I just wanted to be able to make a difference in someone life at the time. My job had to tell me to go home on my days off and tell me Glenda you have done way to many doubles and you really need a brake for a few days. I am not for the dollars I just want to serve the elderly and people period.
yes I have been out of the field for a little while because it has been difficult to find a company that's willing to give me a chance and show them my qualities that I have and how much loyal that I really am. in between the times that I wasn't in the work field i have been going to school to get more educated and just help out people that may need or want my help. i don't mind staying long hours all i just want to do is serve and be-able to go to church Sunday mornings a Thursday evenings and to school Monday evenings wed Tuesdays. I just want a chance to show and prove to a company that I am a willing worker and don't care if I am place on a high petal stool I am not a shame to start from the bottom.
