I was first exposed to caregiving when my grandmother developed Alzheimer's. She had 24 hour in home care her last few years of her life. I saw first hand how much a caregiver can make in someone's life. When I was college, I took a part time job caregiving to help pay for school and I fell in love with it. So much so that I even switched majors so that I could eventually apply to occupation therapy school. I love the one on one interaction and seeing the difference I can make in people's lives. As a caregiver it is always my goal to help seniors lead the most independent, dignified and safest life possible.
