Profile
I am currently a junior in nursing school and have completed clinicals in a variety of different hospital facilities. Learning to think critically and use my good judgement has allowed me to excel while in school. I also have experience in working with older adults who are fall risk and who face the difficulties of Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I have experience providing care to kids and young adults with special needs. I began to become involved sitting while volunteering with the kid's ministry at my local church, which I have been serving in for over a year. I am in nursing and also have completed over 300 supervised hours in health care settings which includes pediatrics, inpatient, outpatient, and direct care. All of these settings have helped me to better understand and relate to kids and adults who are facing developmental and motor disabilities. I have worked with kids and adults who have been diagnosed with Autism, Epilepsy, Down Syndrome, ADHD and severe allergies. Some of my certifications that I have obtained in which allow me to work with individuals who face these different challenges are the following: BLS CPR, AED, First Aid, NCI (Non Combative Intervention) Certified as well as medicine administration. I also have worked as a care giver providing patients while obtaining their vital signs, administering medication, tracking medication given using MAR sheets and always providing empathetic care.
