My name is Barbara, but most of my friends call me "Barbi." I have worked as an Executive Assistant at JC Penney Corporate Headquarters for the past 23 years. I have recently been laid off so I have had an opportunity to take a look at myself to see what I REALLY want to do!!! I have a love for people and have always wanted to help people in some capacity. In the past, I have done volunteer work such as answering calls for what was then called the Suicide & Crises Center. I have also volunteered for a school for disabled children and for a classroom with students who had difficulty reading. My father passed away from Alzheimer's, and although we did not live in the same town during the time he had this terrible disease, I visited and helped out with his care very often (that is where the 4 years of experience comes in, although he was sick much longer than that). I was designing business cards, "From My Heart to Your Home," with the thought in mind that perhaps I could assist elderly people with their chores such as picking up prescriptions, dry cleaning, etc.

I enjoy walking my dog, a white rescue dog who is a Llaso Apso mix and adorable!! I love to be with friends. I enjoy gardening, when it's cool!! I guess, the bottom line is people (and my puppy) are my joy in life!! : )
