In the United States, individuals over 65 will go from about 13% of the population in 2010 to almost 20% of the population in 2030. Here in Anchorage, Alaska, our increase in the aging human population is exactly the same. Anchorage is experiencing rapid growth in our aging population, and the demand for caregivers is increasing. The opportunities for caregivers in Anchorage still tend to increase as the inhabitants will continue to age at such a fast rate.
